Almost 15 years ago for a college class those of us moving toward full-time ministry were given the task of writing out our Philosophy of Ministry. While admittedly many of the details of this paper have been ammended, my purpose statement remains exactly what it was those many years ago… to balance theology and tangibility. To teach biblical principles.
I am intrigued by men of the Bible like Peter and men of our day like Bono. Not because they were or are perfect people. In some ways I am drawn to Christ by their imperfections and willingness to be honest about them.
May we live with the tension that we are sinners and saints. Both. In the same person. Fallen but forgiven. Weak yet powerful through Christ. This is the heart of Tangible Theology.
